Safecility are appointed to the SHED Procurment Framework

We’re delighted to announce that Safecility has been appointed to Procurement for Housing’s SHED framework.

What is SHED?

SHED stands for Social Housing Emerging Disruptors.

Challenges posed by Covid, materials and labour shortages, plus surging demand for low carbon, building safety and development works have created an unparalleled environment for housing providers. This is forcing them to search for fresh, non-traditional solutions to deliver competing strategic objectives.

SHED brings together a whole range of services, solutions and products that have been designed to help the Social Housing sector tackle its many and varied challenges. Innovators on the SHED framework offer a fresh perspective on traditional topics.

This week Safecility and 19 other proptech companies have been appointed to the second phase of the framework SHED2.

Launched by Procurement for Housing (PfH), the second generation of the framework is worth up to £100m over three years and has been developed with the Proptech Innovation Network.

You can find Safecility and other Proptech providers via the SHED portal.

Automated Emergency Lighting Management

For Social Housing Providers, emergency lighting management is a huge task that requires manual monthly testing, record keeping and repairs on a continuous cycle.

At Safecility we have developed a Retrofit Wireless Emergency Lighting Controller, compatible with any emergency light, that fully automates emergency lighting testing, produces digital compliance records and immediately flags up any lighting failures and their exact location within your building(s) via the software platform.

Safecility Features Benefits 1

After installation into your emergency lights, our system takes care of all testing automatically. That means no more unnecessary journeys each month to manually test lights. The controller reports failure analytics in real-time to the software platform so you know exactly what needs to be brought to site to complete a first fix, while compliance records are created digitally eliminating human data entry.

For Social Housing providers with large estates, automation can reduce journeys, reduce carbon emissions and improve safety and compliance.
